From 2021 to 2023, Jen was a senior executive at the MITRE Corporation, a nonprofit that operates a federal research center for healthcare. Jen was responsible for all aspects of business development, project leadership, and people management for a $25 million portfolio of research for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Office of the Administrator, which in 2022 requested strategic support for 10 project teams performing parallel four-month sprints to stand up new cross-cutting initiatives.

Those projects examined the response to the COVID-19 pandemic, affordable drug pricing, access to dental services, enterprise-level strategy on incorporating evidence in policymaking, and improving continuity of care for patients across the 3 “Ms” (Medicare, Medicaid and Marketplaces).

Jen negotiated scopes of work and timelines with CMS, chose the right project leads and team members, obtained executive buy-in at key decision points, and delivered clear and actionable strategic recommendations.
